No S-s-s-moking!
Yesterday was a year since a total smoking ban was enforced in all public places in England. I must say how very glad I am that it has been a huge success. Here’s why.
I am not really a cigarette smoker but whenever someone smokes in my presence I feel I am and I hate the smell of the smoke if I’m not smoking. Previously when I went out to hitherto smoky places like pubs or clubs it was almost obligatory to have the odd cigarette as I drank socially with friends.
Doing this somehow masked the fact that the room was so frightfully smoky and you were breathing in harmful second-hand smoke.
I get a whiff of cigarette smoke when smokers thwart the ban on smoking indoors by smoking outside on the streets. I still hate the smell. My hope is they will ban cigarette smoking altogether.
Better still why bother making these little cancer sticks anyway?
